Bengaluru, March 14: Karnataka BJP on Tuesday was running to take cover after it found itself in an acutely embarrassing statement made by Ramesh Jharkiholi.
“We wish he (Ramesh Jharkiholi) had not made that statement. It is acutely embarrassing. We don’t know how to defend or justify Jharkiholi,” a BJP legislator told The Newz Peg here on Tuesday.

“By saying this, Ramesh Jharkiholi has admitted that there are sleaze CDs of some ministers. It also means that these ministers had, indeed, involved in immoral activities. This is very embarrassing,” a BJP office bearer explained.
Till now, the BJP has maintained ‘a stoic silence’ on the issue of presence of CDs. “We don’t know anything about that” is the standard reply the BJP leaders have been giving ever since the matter related to CDs surfaced about an year ago.
But today by admitting that ‘CDs are being used by Shivakumar to blackmail ministers’ Ramesh Jharkiholi has unwittingly admitted of the existence of the CDs.
“This will do more damage to the party,” a legislator admitted.
