PM Modi inaugurates Bengaluru – Mysuru Highway; Holds mega roadshow in JDS bastion

Bengaluru, Mar 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated ten-lane-highway connecting Bengaluru and Mysuru. He also held a road show in Mandya to woo Vokkaliga voters in the upcoming assembly elections.

The road show, spanning around 1.8 km–from Inspection Bunglow to Nanda Talkies–is the Prime Minister’s first in the Old Mysuru region.
Addressing the gathering at Mandya, PM Modi said that with this new road it would be helpful to generate more employment as the travelling span from Bengaluru to Mysuru will be reduced to just 1 hour. Ring road worth Rs 17,000 crore to be constructed in Bengaluru which will help in direct travelling to Mysuru. This will help in attracting more tourists also.

“The state-of-the-art road infrastructure projects being launched today in Karnataka will boost connectivity across the state and strengthen economic growth, as infrastructure brings employment, investment and means of new business avenues for the state.” he said

He also laid the foundation stone for Mysuru – Kushalanagar four-lane road works.
Modi also took the opportunity to target the opposition. Taking a dig at Congress he said that they are busy in digging grave for Modi, But I am busy at building Bengaluru – Mysuru expressway to make lives of poor people easier.
