Bengaluru, March 10: National BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday visited Central Tiffen Rooms – a popular dosa joint called as CTR – and tasted Masala Dosa and uddina vada for his breakfast.
This Public Relation and image-building exercise was planned and organised by Higher education Minister and local MLA Dr Ashwathnarayan.

There were about 15 party workers along with these leaders. But what turned out to be a damp squib and defeated the purpose of image – building and PR exercise is that the hotel people drove away other customers who were sitting in the hotel as well as those who were standing outside for their turn.
This was totally contrary to what L.K. Advani and Prakash Javadekar did when they visited a few eateries several years ago.
This journalist is a privy to such incidents where Advani and Prakash Javadekar took the seats amidst common men and women and relished the dish. In fact, both Advani and Javadekar used to chat with the people while having the dishes.

Advani had visited Vidyarthi Bhavan, Hotel Dwaraka a few times while Javadekar had relished Dosa, Upma, Idly and Vada at Central Tiffen Rooms, Veena stores, Vidyarthi Bhawan, Hotel Dwaraka and New Krishna Bhawan.
“It is a wiff of fresh air to sit with common people and relish the dishes. We are always confined to AC chambers surrounded by officers. Once in a while we need to take a walk in the market and eat in a road side eatery. That will remind us our youthful days,” Prakash Javadekar had told this journalist who had accompanied him to all the places.

Prakash Javadekar was the incharge of Karnataka elections in 2018. He used to work from state BJP office in Malleshwaram. Once in a while Javadekar used to take a stroll in Malleshwaram and also visit a Dosa joint, of course, without disturbing the customers.
