Bengaluru, February 26: “Congress Manifesto is a going to be a live document full of vibrant ideas and thoughts that are realistic and implementable,” Congress leader Prof Radhakrishna has said.
Speaking with The Newz Peg, Radhakrishna said the all the promises that we are going to make in the manifesto will be practical and will be backed by our past performance.
“Unlike the BJP that makes hollow promises and empty rhetoric with nothing to showcase as its performance, the Congress manifesto will not only give out promises but will also mention the promises that were redeemed during our regime between 2013 and 2018,” Radhakrishna added.
Prof Radhakrishna is the Vice Chairman of the Manifesto Drafting Committee with Dr G. Parameshwara as its Chairman.
The Congress manifesto committee has received opinions and views from the cross-section of the society. “The manifesto is going to be representative in character, meticulous in its details and long-range vision in its approach. The manifesto will stand thr test of time and will be equipped to face challenges of any kind and any dimension,” Prof Radhakrishna explained.
Recently, the manifesto committee members had an interactive session with the representatives of CII, FKCCI, Women Self Help Groups, Youth bodies and student leaders separately.
“We have collected their views. We also had interaction various social organizations. That’s the reason why I say that the Congress manifesto will be representative in character and comprehensive in content,” Prof Radhakrishna added.
He, however, refused to share atleast some of the views collected by the Congress.
“We give utmost respect to the manifesto. For us, it is a sacred and solemn document. It cannot be shared unless it is officially released,” Prof Radhakrishna explained.
