Bengaluru, February 24: ‘Your farewell speech has inspired me. You have been a perennial source of inspiration to millions of workers,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted.
Modi was referring to Yediyurappa’s farewell speech which he delivered on Tuesday in the Assembly.
Meanwhile, Yediyurappa has said that RSS is responsible for what he is today.
“The training I received in RSS about patriotism, nationalism, service to people are all due to the RSS,” BJP supremo said.
The Lingayath strongman also attributed his success to former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda whose ‘never-say-die’ attitude has honed his fighting spirit.
“I am going out of this Assembly with a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment,” Yediyurappa to the House, who heard him with rapt attention.
Yediyurappa asserted that the BJP will return to power with comfortable majority in the forth coming elections. “This is as true and a fact as broad daylight. Let no one be in doubt. I want to see you all here as ministers,” Yediyurappa told looking at the treasury benches.
Sounding statesman-like, Yediyurappa complimented Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah for his ‘well-researched speech’ and his uncanny ability to raise people’s issues.
“I don’t have words to appreciate the work done by the Leader of the Opposition,” Yediyurappa added.
