New Delhi, February 23: ‘TMC is the “B” team of the BJP. It wants to help the saffron party to come to power in Meghalaya’ said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee’s confidante Abhishek Banerjee hit back by saying, “the irrelevance and incompetence of the Congress had put them in a state of delirium”
Rahul, on his part, accused the TMC of inciting violence, engineering communal disharmony and indulging in scams.
He further accused the TMC of soending huge amount of money in Goa in order to help BJP to come to power. “They (TMC) want to do something similar in Meghalaya too,” Rahul added.
TMC, on it’s part, accused the Congress of contesting the Meghalaya elections just to split the Opposition votes even though not having any presence.
This was the tone, tenor, texture and content of the abuse and diatribe between Congress and TMC. And Mallikarjun Kharge, while addressing the 33rd session of INTUC, spoke of a grand Opposition unity and defeating the BJP in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
