New Delhi, February 4: Union Minister for Education and Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan has been made in-charge of the Assembly Elections in Karnataka.

Tamil Nadu state BJP President K. Annamalai has been made co-incharge of the elections.
Pradhan’s appointment is over and above the existing arrangement where Arun Singh is prabhari of Karnataka BJP affairs.

“Arun Singh is in-charge of the organisational matters of Karnataka whereas Pradhan will be exclusively in-charge of elections,” state general secretary N. Ravi Kumar told The Newz Peg here on Saturday.
In the 2018 Assembly elections, the then Union Minister Prakash Javadekar was in-charge in Karnataka. The BJP emerged as the single largest party by winning 104 seats.

Dharmendra Pradhan, who hails from Odisha, is an old organizational warhorse. He was in-charge of elections in some of the North-Eastern states.
Ravi Kumar expressed happiness over the appointment of Pradhan as in-charge of Karnataka.
“Pradhan is an experienced youngster. His knowledge of conducting the elections is phenomenal. The Karnataka BJP will be immensely benefitted by his rich knowledge and vast experience,” Ravi Kumar added.
