Bengaluru, January 28: Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy and H. D. Revanna’s son Suraj Revanna are at loggerheads over selection of candidates for Hassan Assembly constituency.
While Revanna’s wife Bhavani has said she will contest from Hassan, Kumaraswamy ruled it out by saying that “there are many ordinary candidates” who can be chosen.

Revanna’s son and MLC Suraj Revanna, however, has sought to cross swords with his uncle Kumaraswamy by saying that ‘my mother Bhavani is the most appropriate candidate’
While Kumaraswamy said that party supremo H. D. Deve Gowda and the parliamentary board will decide about choosing an ordinary worker, Suraj Revanna has repeated and reiterated his statement.
‘I don’t say that my mother Bhavani is the inevitable choice. But I would say that the victory is sure if my mother is given ticket from Hassan”

Bhavani is of the view that she belongs to the family if the founder of Janata Dal (S) and she has been looking after the entire district after the election if her another son Prajwal Revanna as MP.
“Nobody knows Hassan district better than my husband. Victory is cent percent certain if I am given ticket,” Bhavani has been repeatedly saying.

If Bhavani is given ticket, then totally five of the family will be in the fray at different places – H.D Kumaraswamy, Anitha Kumaraswamy, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, H. D. Revanna and Bhavani Revanna.
If, in the event of all of them getting elected, then there will be two MPs (Deve Gowda in Rajya Sabha and Prajwal Revanna in Lok Sabha), five in Assembly (Kumaraswamy, Revanna, Anitha Kumaraswamy, Nikhil Kumaraswamy and Bhavani Revanna) and one in Legislative Council (Suraj Revanna).
