Ayodhya, January 18: A three-day international conference on “Death, Rebirth and Reincarnation” has been organized at Ayodhya starting January 27 till January 29 with the overall guidance and blessings of Sri Shankar Bharathi, the erudite seer of K. R. Nagar-based Yadathore Mutt.
The conference will be steered by Sri Shankaracharya Vangmaya Seva Parishat, an umbrella organization established in Ayodhya by Peethadhipathis, Acharya Mahamandaleshwaras and other Saints. Philosophers, spiritual thinkers are also associated with this organization.
“A clear take home message for the cause of human good and welfare shall be the aim of the conference through its Scientific, Adhyatmic panel discussions that will be attended by philosophers, spiritual personalities, psychological counselors and mental health experts from NIMHANS,” Sri Yadathore Mutt administrator Heramba Rao told The Newz Peg.
Death, Re-Birth and Reincarnation are the subjects that have interested thinkers, philosophers and spiritual personalities of all religious denominations, different cultures and civilisations since time immemorial. The three-day conference will bring together anthropologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, sociologists on one common platform.

Vice Chancellor of S-VYASA International Yoga University based at Jigani in Anekal Taluk Dr H. R. Nagendra will deliver the inaugural and keynote address. The chairman of the conference will be His Holiness Sri Muktananda ji, President of Sri Ramakrishna Mutt, Lucknow. Padma Awardee and Director of NIMHANS Dr B. N. Gangadhar will preside over the conference.
The topic of discussions during the three-day conference will be Garbha Samskara, Neuroscience Perspective of Life and Consciousness, Ideas of Life, Death and Rebirth in Hindu cosmologies and Psychological perspectives of Birth and Death. Dr Satheesh K.S. of National Samskrit University, Tirupati will speak on “Upanishad view on Birth, Death and Rebirth”
Vidwan Sripad Bhat from Mysore will speak on “Bhagavadtita Bhashya on Birth, Death and Re-Birth” and “Near Death Experience” will be explained by Dr Naresh Vadlamani of Apollo Institute, Hyderabad.
A spiritual personality associated with the Mutt said, the understanding of “Mrutyunjaya according to Adi Shankara” will be culmination subject of the conference.
