Bengaluru, January 17: Minister for Muzrai, Haj and Wakf Shashikala Jolle has described the Congress party’s “Naa Nayaki” as a poll gimmick.
“People of Karnataka, especially the women voters are wise and matured. They will not fall for such gimmicks, Shashikala Jolle added.
Asserting that the double-engine government headed by Modi ji and Bommai have given many pro-women schemes worth Rs 48, 148 crores, Jolle said the state government has strengthened the Women Self Help Groups in an unprecedented manner.

“Priyanka Gandhi Vadra announced a programme in Uttar Pradesh – ‘Mey Ladki Hoon, Mey Lad Sakthi Hoon” – at the time of Assembly elections. But the Congress lost deposit in almost 370 constituencies. The Congress party will meet the same fate in Karnataka also,” the Muzrai minister opined.
According to Jolle, the Congress party is in the habit of coming out with some “meaningless programmes with absurd slogans” but without any desired result.
“The people clearly understands the double-standard of the Congress party. While in power it did not do anything good for the women. Now when the elections are approaching, it wants to indulge in some tactics. It won’t work,” Jolle said.
