Woman financier killed, buried in Delhi graveyard; four arrested

Delhi, Jan 12: A body of a woman was recovered by Police from a cemetery days after the 54-year-old woman went missing from her home in Outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri.
Police said they received information about the woman missing from her residence on January 2. During the investigation, when Police were tracing her through her phone and checked CCTV cameras to locate her. After her phone was found to be switched off, Police registered a case of kidnapping and her body was recovered on Wednesday.
Police investigating the matter said four men have been arrested for allegedly killing and burying her.
The woman worked as a micro-financier and she lent money to hawkers and vendors in the area. The deceased woman had loaned money to the accused and killed her after they failed to pay back the amount to her.
The caretaker of the graveyard has also been arrested for allegedly taking Rs 5,000 from them to allow them to bury the body in the graveyard, Delhi police added.
