Paradip, January 4: It looks like the state of Odisha in India has become jinx to Russian nationals.
After two Russian national died during the last fortnight, the third Russian national – Mil Yakov Sergey – was found dead in his cabin inside the ship MV Al Danah that had arrived from Chittagong to Paradip port in Odisha last month.
Other crew members informed the Captain of the Ship Podokozin Dmitry about the death of Mil Yakov Sergey, who, in turn, informed the Paradip Port Authorities.

“Initial investigation says that Mil Yakov had died of Cardiac arrest. We are still assessing the exact reason” a member of the Paradip Port Medical Team said.
Immigration officer of the port Manas Das said, “No vessel operates without a Protection and Indemnity cover; which has been made compulsory to allow a ship to enter major ports in India. After getting clearance from the P & I, the shipping agent will lodge an FIR with the local police station. Later the body will be shifted ashore for post-mortem and further investigation”

Port sources said that the Sea Trans Private Ltd is the agent of this vessel MV Al Danah. “This vessel was to be loaded with iron ore and was bound for Maharashtra,” sources added.
