Belagavi, Dec 23: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has described Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut as “agent of China and an multi-national”
Speaking on the resolution condemning the Maharashtra’s stance on border issue in the Assembly, Bommai lambasted Raut for vitiating the atmosphere.

“It looks like that Raut is not interested in the peaceful solution of the issue. The tone, tenor and language used by Raut are definitely unfriendly,” Bommai added.
Stating that Sanjay Raut’s statement is against the spirit of federalism, Bommai said, “I am capable of giving a fitting reply to Raut in a similar language but I will not stop down to his level”
Referring to MES leader Jayanth Patil’s statement who has said that Bommai is arrogant, the Chief Minister the statement shows the immaturity of that person.

“Karnataka is not unduly perturbed by these meaningless statements and tantrums. We will defend yourself with all the forces at our command. Belagavi is a settled issue. It belongs to Karnataka. Nobody or no force can unsettle a settled issue,” Bommai added.
The chief minister asserted that his government has effectively tackled the mischievous attempts of various Maharashtra leaders.
