Bangalore, Dec 19 : In an attempt to broad base and strengthen its election committee, the Congress party on Monday included 11 more names to the list.
The press note, signed by AICC general secretary K. Venugopal, states that the additional list of election committee members have the approval of the AICC President.
The additional 11 names are;
B.L. Shankar, Parameshwar Naik, Umashree, Ramesh Kumar, Ramanath Rai, H. M. Revanna, A. M. Hindasgeri, Zameer Ahmed, Shivanand Patil, Sharanabasappa Gouda Darshanapur and Sharan Prakash Patil.
The additional list of the Pradesh Election Committee is also representative in character as it has members drawn from various communities and also from different regions of the state.
