Shivamoga, Nov.3: Political Secretary to the Chief Minister and Honnalli MLA MP Renukacharya’s nephew Chandrashekhar’s body was found inside his car at Tunga canal near Kadakatte village in Honnali taluk of Davanagere district. He had been missing since October 30.
On Thursday afternoon locals spotted a car in the canal and informed the police. The district administration along with Renukacharya reached the spot. The car with registration number KA-17-MA-2534 was removed from the canal using a crane in which Chandrashekhar’s body was found.
25-year-old Chandrashekhar’s body was found in a partially decomposed condition by the rescue team. It is unclear how the car fell into the canal. The airbags of the car had opened.
Renukacharya and his family members were inconsolable during the operation to pull out the car.
Chandrashekhar, son of contractor MP Ramesh and former Zilla Panchayat president Uma, left his house in Honnali of Davanagere district on October 30 saying he was going to Shivamogga in his car.
