Mangaluru, Sep 23: Third additional civil court of the city, will pronounce its verdict on Malali mosque row on September 27. The court is conducting inquiry on several petitions with regard to the renovation of the mosque.
The court will also take out an order on the limits of authority of the court with regard to maintainability of the suit for permanent injunction. The high court had earlier directed the city court to conduct inquiry of the remaining petitions only after taking out this order.
Previously, the high court had directed city civil court not to take out any order with respect to Malali mosque. Moreover, the mosque row in Dakshina Kannada district had taken a new twist with the masjid management making a submission to the local court to quash the VHP demand.

Sharan Pumpwell, divisional secretary of VHP, said, “Prima facie it looks like old temple is converted into a mosque. The inside and outside the building the style of construction resembles that of a temple. Gram panchayat should cancel the renovation permission.
