Bangalore, August 25: The state government’s blunder by appointing late Rajeshwari Tejaswi as a member of the Purnachandra Tejaswi Foundation has led to outrage on social media. The government released the list of names of presidents and members of various foundations on Wednesday. Among these K.P. Rajeshwari Purnachandra Tejaswi who passed away last year is one of the eight members of Purnachandra Tejaswi Foundation.
Writer Rajeshwari, wife of famous writer and thinker Puranchandra Tejaswi, passed away last December. However, it is surprising that the name of the deceased is now in the list of members of the foundation. Many people on social media are expressing their objection to this stumbling block of the state government.
Sulibele Refused Chairmanship of Galganath and Raja Purohita Foundation Youth Brigade founder Chakraborty Sulibele has refused the chairmanship of Galganath and Raja Purohita Foundation. Expressing his opinion on this in his Facebook account, he said, “I have great respect for Galganath, and I am surprised and happy that he has chosen me as the president of Galganath and Raja Purohita Foundation. But in the current situation, there is not enough time to give this, so he has to return this honor in a very humble manner.
Narendra Rai Derla, who was appointed as President of K P Poornachandra Tejaswi Foundation said that, while appointing such foundation authorities to academies, it is better to approach them as a matter of courtesy and get prior approval.
Narendra Rai Derla wrote a post on Facebook about not accepting the post. In this post, he said, ‘I have not been contacted by any departmental person or official regarding this matter. “It is better to approach such foundation authorities and get their prior approval as a matter of courtesy while appointing them to the academies. Then such unwanted embarrassment will be avoided.’
He also said in his post that even if the culture department contacts me, my decision will not change. ‘I have not received such a letter-order. Even if it comes, my opinion will not change. Please no one should think this is my ego, arrogance. Tejaswi is the inspiration for such a simple courtesy-rejection. Derla made it clear that whoever the government chooses, they have my help in Tejaswi’s matter.
