Chitradurga: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by four men including her husband on the outskirts of Chitradurga. Based on the survivor’s complaint, an FIR is registered against four men.
The minor girl narrated the ordeal after gaining consciousness at the Chitradurga District Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. According to her complaint, her husband asked her to come to Malappanahatti road on June 7. As she approached the spot, four men took her to an under-construction building and gang-raped her.
In the complaint, the minor girl said that her husband threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident to anybody. The survivor also alleged that she had returned to her parent’s house as her husband suspected her fidelity and fought with her regularly.
She also claimed that her husband had forcefully married her. An FIR has been registered at the women’s police station. Various sections including rape, and attempt to murder under the IPC have been added. The victim’s husband has also been booked for child marriage. The police are on the lookout for the four accused men.
